Projected tyre life:
Soft - 5 to 6 laps (WTF)
Medium - 10 to 12 laps (face palm)
Hard - 17 to 18 laps (double face palm)
If that's what Pirelli think the tyres will do from data from the first two days here... I'm not sure some teams have enough tyres to make it to the end without insane tyre management. We could see them going slower than the F2 cars today. Sure there'll be safety cars that'll help, and the track will rubber in, but on those stints? With the tyres some have available? We could be looking at 3 stops for many out there today, and maybe even 4 stops for McLaren and Renault who seem to be eating their tyres. Sheesh, I expect Mercedes will call the race off by Turn 3 if they've got a one, two after last week's drama. Does not look like it'll be a classic.
