I was not sure DAS would be worth much at all, until someone pointed out that the drag coefficient meant that at somewhere like Monza it could be worth a tenth round a lap. And in the race the changing of the contact points means tyre life at a twisty circuit like Hungary could be drastically extended. I also have a sneaky suspicion it's also on the car as it helps with aero set up. You were right by the way, on turn in the Merc seems to carry some rake. I need to see more off board footage of the car as it transitions on the DAS, but there could be a FRIC like effect involved here.
As to Horner and Marko? They're two prize tossers, no question, so I won't hold your hatred of them against you. However, from a technical standpoint I have the utmost respect for the teams engineering pedigree, and every year they're essentially the only team that seems to keep pace with Mercedes, so I have a respect for the team.
