Eddie is a bit of a twat, but on this one... it's certainly starting to look that way isn't it?

The irony is strong on this one chaps.

What right has a zero time world champ got to criticise a 4 x world champ? Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but it is just that, an opinion. Don't like these ex drivers having a go for no other reason than self promotion. F*ck off Eddie, nobody cares what you think.

On Vettel, he won 4 WDC's and in the right car he is very fast, of that there is no doubt. His problem is that he has flaws in several areas and makes mistakes under pressure. He's still a very good driver (and a top bloke) but I will never regard him as one of the best.

Seen this earlier, dont shoot the messenger if your guy doesnt come out top
(its a bit long winded & full of stats, graphs & charts though worth a read when you are bored)

Who was the greatest F1 driver of all time? It is an endlessly debated question amongst fans and pundits alike. If the only aspect we care about is the number of titles or grand prix wins, then the answer is straightforward. Yet, as F1 fans, we recognize that the question is far more complicated.

Interesting but lets be honest you can come up with stats and metrics to support any argument really. As a Hamilton fan am I upset he is not 1 or 2 . No I am not. We try to do this is all sports and the fact is there are simply too many variables from era to era to say who was the best, fastest, bravest etc etc.

1980's I am more upset at Nigel Mansell being put behind the likes of Ed Cheever, John Watson, Elio DeAnglis, Jaques Laffite and Nelson Piquet. Does that take into account he drove a Non turbo car for a while too. In my humble opinion there were two better drivers than Mansell in the 80's that would be Senna and Prost.

1990's Anything that has Eddie Irvine and Heinz Harold Frentzen ranked above Mike Hakkinen and three other World Champions is laughable.

2000's is okay but I am sorry I cannot rank Jenson Button ahead of Lewis Hamilton much as I like both.

Taking a two year window is just ridiculous.

I'm not sure I know the greatest ever driver, cars, era, blaa blaa……..   Rolleyes

But I do know the greatest ever Welsh driver  Big Grin Wiki

Thomas Maldwyn Pryce (11 June 1949 – 5 March 1977) was a British racing driver from Wales famous for winning the Brands Hatch Race of Champions, a non-championship Formula one race, in 1975 and for the circumstances surrounding his death. Pryce is the only Welsh driver to have won a Formula One race and is also the only Welshman to lead a Formula One World Championship Grand Prix: two laps of the 1975 British Grand Prix.

Pryce started his career in Formula One with the small token team, making his only start for them at the 1974 Belgium Grand Prix. Shortly after winning the Formula three support race for the 1974 Monaco Grand Prix, Pryce joined the Shadow team and scored his first points in Germany in only his forth race. Pryce later claimed two podium finishes, his first in Austria in 1975 and the second in Brazil a year later. Pryce was considered by his team as a great wet-weather driver.

During the practice session for the 1977 South Africa Grand Prix run in wet conditions, Pryce was faster than everyone, including world champion drivers Niki Lauda and James Hunt.

During the race, he collided at high speed with a safety marshal, Frederik Jansen van Vuuren, and both men were killed.

A memorial to Pryce was unveiled in 2009 in his home town of Ruthin.
