So, another weekend with sprint race. Fast track and interesting point in championship.

Think Mercedes can be strong on this fast track.
Verstappen will always be fighting up there, Perez I am very curious about how he will show up.
McLaren back as fast nr. 3 and Ferrari a bit further back.
Gasly strong as usual fighting Ferrari, his teammate bad as usual and crashes.

What do you guys think?

Got to have a 27B-6.

I agree Anti, I think this will be Merc territory this weekend... with Max (hopefully) snapping at Lewis heels & not too far behind. As for Perez it will be a toss of a coin as to how he performs, unfortunatley for Max he cant rely on help from Perez.... unlike Lewis with his ball-less wingman.
Hopefully Ferrari can take the fight to Norris for best of the rest, like Perez, Danny Ricc cant be relied on to help Mclaren out.

I wonder what ever happened to these 3 kids?

Did nobody watch the Friday "quali for sprint race pole" for this one then? I've just got back home from taxi duties and am watching a recording just now (I already know the result) but am surprised there is no talk on this thread.

I've said since day one, I really respect VB for his outright 1 lap speed. One of the very, very best qualifiers out there I have seen in my time. I hope it makes a difference in the run in to season end as he could play a part. I read lots of negative stuff about VB, but at the end of the day he *can* pull special laps out of the bag when needed. Always rated him for speed. He could move Sauber forward in team leader role.

Anyone with a differing view?

Great lap VB. Class act.

Always thought VB was good over a single lap against the clock.

In traffic im not convinced though. The clock doesn't fight back.

Its wheel to wheel that makes the champions for me (as well as being good in qually) and thats where LH, Max, and others have shown it on a number of occasions.

Good result for Lando again, DRicc looking better, McLaren definitely suits the track.

Yes Paddy, that is the strength of it really.

Much like Lewis took the real "pole" at Silverstone this year, it will count for nothing as the "sprint race" will decide the race pole. Absolutely hate it myself, but F1 will go with the "mass consensus" and a lot of the people who want to watch F1 these days have no sympathy for the traditions or real values of the sport. It hurts to watch it all, if I am honest. Marketing and commercialism at its very worst. Fuck you F1, and you can stick your "Sprint Races" where the sun don't shine.

I guess it is inevitable. Shareholders are king, but me, well, I want my favourite sport back. Gone forever I fear chaps.  Sad
