I came across an overview of what the current drivers in F1 allegedly get as salary, thought it is an nice extra view on the field and motives of drivers:
By the way; why do they pay Ocon that much? Two and a half times what Gasly is getting? Or Norris for that matter. Both would kick Ocon's ass on track.
Russell deserves more, but I understand that position.
- Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes): €40-45 miljoen
- Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing): €33 miljoen
- Fernando Alonso (Alpine F1): €14,5 miljoen
- Danniel Ricciardo (McLaren): €13,5 miljoen
- Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin): €13 miljoen
- Charles Leclerc (Ferrari): €8,5 miljoen
- Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes): €8 miljoen
- Kimi Räikkönen (Alpha Romeo): €4,5 miljoen
- Carlos Sainz (Ferrari): €4,5 miljoen
- Sergio Perez (Red Bull): €2,5 miljoen
- Esteban Ocon (Alpine F1): €2,5 miljoen
- Lance Stroll (Aston Martin): €1 miljoen
- Lando Norris (McLaren): €1 miljoen
- Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri): €1 miljoen
- George Russell (Williams): €500.000
- Nicholas Latifi (Williams): €500.000
- Mick Schumacher (Haas F1): €400.000
- Antonio Giovinazzi (Alpha Romeo): €400.000
- Yuki Tsunoda (Alpha Tauri): €250.000

Do you guys think money has an influence on drivers for their choice of team? I can't imagine it does not.
