Anything goes!

Just throw out anything you think may happen in and to the F1 circus in 2018.

Engine Surprises?
Driver trade out?
Overtakes sponsored by?
Crazy season? (erm, minds blank, is that what they call the driver market? Driver contracts anyway)
WDC WCC results?

Lets hear em.

Silly season ;-)

Hamilton for WDC, Merc for WCC. Merc find more performance over the winter and the gap is bigger to Ferrari. Renault close the gap to Ferrari.

Hamilton romps away with it, every city has the best fans, Bottas enjoys a lonely season in second place. The real entertainment of the season comes from an epic 6 car battle for 3rd in WDC/ 2nd in WCC between Ferrari, Red Bull & McLaren.

Renault, Williams & ‘The Team Formerly Known as Force India’ have a close battle.

As do STR & Haas further down the field.

Sauber are still nailed to the back of the grid. Although the engine performance is now there, that chassis is lacking and the Ericsson is still present :-(

What odds could I get for the above I wonder...

A bit tame fellas : P , here's a few.

A race day cancelled due to a 'terror incident'.

Pirelli tyres get a Viagra sponsorship.

Self driven Safety Car trialed.

Mid season ban on engine maps for off throttle.

What will Liberty experiment with? The way things are elsewhere, I'm gonna say some kind of paywall will be introduced. What for, I don't know. Heres hoping they go the opposite and give full live timing for free.

Nikki Lauda calling it as he sees it, as always says on air after the first practice session:

“The Halo is the biggest shit sandwich in the world, and everyone has to take a bite"

Liberty Media ask Bernie to come back as they admit their ideas are crap

Bernie says fuck you - it’s your shit sandwhich now, quoting Nikki

someone shaves off Fonzy’s eyebrows, his form plummets (now we know his weakness)

the dastardly lunch ladiesMaureen and Dorris are back and are even more diabolical than before in their car tampering

Lewis crashes into the back of Seb behind safety car, Karma, goes home writes a poem about it

Christian Horner admits he really wanted sporty spice but had to settle for ginger

The Hulk wins a race, tells Kmag suck on them balls buddy

Russian GP is exciting

Both Williams drivers perform well

Kimi beats Seb and becomes a 2 X WDC

Seb says it was a fix and identifies Maureen and Dorris as the culprits who tampered with both his and Lewis’ car Smile

My first prediction is that the Honda engine doesn't totally suck.

Second prediction is that Leclerc schools Ericsson, and the Swede is dropped mid-season

Third prediction is that McLaren aren't competitive and find it tough going against RBR and Renault... and thus Alonso quits F1 at the end of 2018.

Fourth prediction is that those with Ferrari and Renault engines turn them down early doors to save the engines as they only have three, meaning they'll try to take their second engines around race 6 or 7. This will allow Mercedes to stretch their engines to race 10, or 11, whereby they introduce the step upgrade Allison was talking about recently that blows everyone else away.

Fifth prediction, Ricciardo to Ferrari (I've said Merc for two years) and Ocon to Merc. Both announced after the summer break.

Finally, being a bit bold, Porsche to officially announce their intention to join F1 in 2021, to allow LM to put pressure on current manufacturers over engines (PS. it still won't work).

Well, Honda can't continue to totally suck can they? I just think it would be the biggest poetic irony that Honda sort themselves out, and McLaren struggle against the other Renault teams.

As to Porsche? That's happening now. They've shut down their WEC program, yet retained everyone, and are right now poaching and employing staff from other F1 teams. They're joining F1, or some other top line Motorsport... and given they've quit WEC that doesn't leave them many options.
