The Barcelona weather forecast for tomorrow has changed over the last hours. We might see some rain on Saturday. Pirelli has just given all teams an extra set of Intermediate tyres for FP3.

I hope you're not shiiting us Jody? That would be just what this weekend needs as (unless there have been huge sandbags) it looks way too one sided so far.

So, a 2% chane of rain accoriding to the beeb. Sigh, I got my hopes up there, but I guess it's pretty unusual to get proper mositure at catalunya F1 in May.

I think I miight start a book -> full F1 season without any wet sessions. Any takers?

I'm not the one predicting rain Morini, that was Forza. As to Mercedes gap to the rest? On race pace it's clear. Merc are a second a lap or thereabouts quicker on the Softs, and on the Hards and the Mediums that gap just grows. Their pace around the lap was blistering, just can't see Ferrari beating them in the race, even if they out qualify them, but there again, I'm not convinced Ferrari or RBR are even in the pole shoot out, based on what we've seen today I think that'll be an exclusive fight between the silver cars. Given how much quicker the Mercs were in S3 I'd suggest that Monaco will be an exclusive fight between the silver cars too.

Well, that really would be a turn up for the books! Given that crappy slow speed circuits have been a Merc achillies heel for the last 5 seasons. If Mercedes aren't strugging at Monaco then the other teams are fucked and it really is a two horse race.

I'm not convinced on that one yet. We will have to wait and see. Monaco isn't my favourite event by any stretch, but it will give good pointers for other circuits like Hungary and Singapore.

Ferrari are either sandbagging big time today or otherwise they need to think about next year. Make or break weekend I think.
