RE: 2019 Spanish GP - Jody Barton - 06-05-2019

So any predictions? How many silver cars do you think they can fit on the front row this race? And which Mercedes driver do you think will win?

RE: 2019 Spanish GP - forzaferrari - 06-05-2019

Going to go out on a limb here and predict a silver 1-2 finish, Seb to throw a strop and put himself and at least one other car in the gravel Wink

Brit 123 Lando, George & Lewis. Wink

More seriously Charles is going to be *on a mission*

Really cant see a Mercedes 1-2 again, if they are 1-2 after quali I cant see Lewis "being kind" again, so maybe a Nico/Lewis moment...

Qually was closer than I 'member last year, but cant forget Lewis disappearing in the race. Same again this year unfortunately, maybe Bottas can pinch pole, and postpone the the Lewis cruise.

Max to split the Ferrari's in Qually.

RE: 2019 Spanish GP - NeilP - 07-05-2019

After the first four races its hard not to say another Mercedes 1 and 2. However let me introduce to you guys a thing called the law of averages and they tell me that will not be the case in this race. Hamilton excels here so he is in my mind the favourite to win. I do not believe in Bottas yet but obviously he is a threat.

Now lets get to the interesting bits. It is a fact that sportsmen perform well where they have had success in the past and that tells me Max Verstappen will be a factor this weekend. Maybe not for a win but certainly a podium finish. I also believe we will see Leclerc get back on track here. To me the biggest pressured position belongs to one Sebastian Vettel. Not only is he a distant rival for the WDC right now but his team mate is threatening to steal all his Ferrari toys away from him.

Mercedes have won 4 out of the last 5 races here their only non winning race was when Rosberg and Hamilton collided on the first lap that gave Max Verstappen his first F1 GP win.

I am going with 1. Hamilton 2. Leclerc 3. Verstappen 4. Bottas 5. Vettel Best of the rest Hulkenberg.

EARLY WEATHER OUTLOOK - Overall, another good weather weekend on the way. All sessions are expected to be dry and mostly sunny. Only on Friday night is there any risk of rain. Temperatures will vary between 22-24ºC in Montmeló.

Albert Fabrega @AlbertFabrega reporting Haas and Alfa won't run the upgraded Ferrari engine in Barcelona

RE: 2019 Spanish GP - Jody Barton - 09-05-2019

Then why the hell did Ferrari announce they were bringing it? If they are literally using Alfa as a test team for their new engine I think the FIA will potentially step in and issue fines. Both RBR and Ferrari were warned respectively about doing this with TR and Alfa. RBR decided not to test the FIAs resolve in Baku and took the upgraded engines themselves, if Ferrari don't I see trouble brewing. If Haas don't that's fine, they're an independent team, and customer, they can buy new engines when they want.
