Agree. Ferrari looks like the car to be in here. I expected Merc to be competitive in S2, but they aren't.
Kvyat just had a shunt into wall. Lots of damage there!

Right now if RBR replace Gasly, which is looking likely quite frankly, you'd have to say they'd probably pick Alex Albon.
Early time on the race stints it looks like Leclerc and Hamilton are a much of a muchness... except they were on different tyres. Interesting runs ruined by the Kvyat bump. Shame. The teams go in to Saturday without much data. But unless Mercedes can find those 6 tenths it's a shoot out between the two Ferrari boys.

huh... just been informed peeps think Ferrari are running higher engine modes today than Mercedes... so we'll see I guess tomorrow.

I don't think that's news, Toto said he believes they always do. However, Ferrari appear to be faster in the low speed as well.
LeClerc appearing to be able to go 3x purple at will.

Yeah, but my informant has said that some in the pit think they've been running their lower quali modes, which they don't do normally. Maybe they really need to test those updates.
Hamilton is flying on those mediums... looks quicker in race trim than those Ferrari's... they're hiding pace.

That was naughty from K-Mag...
But over the race stints Lewis is nearly a second quicker on the mediums than the two Ferrari's and 0.5 seconds quicker on the Softs... he was quicker than Bottas too, but Bottas was also quicker than those Ferrari's. Hmm... we have learned nothing today. However, the Mercs are actually quicker in the straights here by a fair bit, so I expect them to cranck a little bit more wing onto their cars. It looks like it's a Ferrari front row lock out right now, but I'm not so sure. Interesting.

Didn't hear Ant Paps. I'm only watching the pictures. Holed up in the kids den watching practice with TV muted and listening to vinyl all afternoon. Oh, and working of course!!!
Far more enjoyable way to watch practice sessions than listening to Croftwomble
